VIDEO: Birch Fun Run Celebrating Fitness and School Spirit
On Oct. 24, students and staff from Birch participated in the annual Fun Run, a lively fitness challenge that brought the school community together under sunny skies.
Cheered on beneath a gold-and-black balloon arch, participants waved pom-poms, danced to upbeat music, and ran laps around the school field.
The event, organized by the Birch PTA, encouraged students to secure sponsorships from family, friends, and local businesses. Sponsors were recognized on the back of students’ shirts and on a banner displayed in the school yard.
After completing their laps, students enjoyed refreshing drinks and ice pops provided by the PTA. Members Danielle Doulos, Morgan DeFrancesco, and Brittany Talt, along with other PTA volunteers and school staff, collaborated to make this event a success.
The Birch Beaver mascot joined the excitement, motivating runners and celebrating their efforts as they circled the field.
The Fun Run served as the culmination of Health and Wellness Week, during which students explored healthy habits through daily activities, at-home challenges, and morning announcements.
Funds raised from the event will support a variety of PTA-funded programs, including enrichment opportunities, assemblies, field trips, and more.
