Birch Students Grow Gardens and Connections

Students at Birch School recently came together for a hands-on learning experience that cultivated both new gardens and meaningful relationships.
Fifth-grade students partnered with kindergarteners to plant flowers and greenery in the school's new rectangular garden beds. The collaborative activity provided an opportunity for Birch’s oldest and youngest students to work side by side, fostering teamwork, leadership, and a shared appreciation for nature.
Throughout the project, fifth graders guided and encouraged their younger peers while kindergarteners eagerly learned about planting and caring for a garden.
