Merrick School District

Students in fifth and sixth grade - representing the band, orchestra, and chorus -took to the stage to share the results of their hard work and dedication. Performances were held during the school day for peers and staff, and on Dec. 8 during an evening concert for families and the broader community. 

This year’s concert was the culmination of months of preparation, guided by the expertise and support of music directors and teachers Robert Normandeau, Paul Graham, and Tom Velsor. Their leadership helped students develop confidence, master challenging pieces, and refine their skills as musicians. 

The district extends its congratulations to all participating students and sincere appreciation to the music staff for their commitment to providing high-quality arts education.
