Lakeside Student Corner
Have you ever had a pet? Perhaps you've had the perfect puppy or kitten that melts your heart? If so, you know what we are talking about when we say that animals deserve as much love as any human. However, there are many animals that do not have that. This is why we have animal shelters such as the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. They house many animals that are waiting to be adopted. They provide them with food, shelter and love while waiting for their forever homes. We, the Student Council Crew of the Levy Lakeside School want to help places like this. We recently did a service project that collected supplies for the shelter. The Lakeside Family brought in kibble, old sheets, collars, leashes, toys and so much more! We have collected over 17 bags and boxes of items for the shelter. We are so proud of all donations we collected. The student council crew believes giving back to the community is a privilege, and we should donate whenever possible. Helping our furry friends is a large project, we are so glad to have taken part in it.
