Birch Theatre Residency Presents” The Little Mermaid, Jr.”

From Feb. 4-6, the Birch Theatre Residency presented “The Little Mermaid, Jr.,” bringing the magic of musical theater to the Birch Elementary School community.  

This annual, PTA-sponsored program was open to all fifth- and sixth-grade students, offering young performers the opportunity to participate both on stage and behind the scenes. 

In preparation for each performance, cast and crew members arrived approximately an hour and a half early to get into costume, complete microphone checks, and prepare for the show. The production was made possible by several dedicated parent volunteers who assisted with coordination, costumes, props, and other behind-the-scenes needs. 

The Birch Theatre Residency continues to provide students with a memorable, hands-on introduction to the performing arts, fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork among elementary learners.
